Women's Fellowship usually meets the second Monday of each month (October thru May) The group enjoys a a time of fellowship which includes scripture readings, devotions and a musical offering. In addition, the group presents entertaining and informative speakers at each meeting.
Men's Brealfast each First Wednesday of the month at 8:30am at Grandview Terrace. Individual off the menu. Great social time.
Men's Fellowship meets at 9:00 AM, the second Tuesday of each month in the library (October thru May). All men members of the church are automatically members of the Men's Fellowship. Please feel free to join us.
Men's Fellowship also oversees our House Watch program. As the name implies, this is a service where volunteers from the church watch over the homes of winter visitors in their absence. Proceeds from House Watch help to fund community outreach programs and contribute to the upkeep of the church. Previously, House Watch provided numerous nursing scholarships for those students who would be employed at Del Webb and Boswell hospitals.
Our very active Men's Fellowship organization hosts monthly church events and catered dinners in the fall, winter and spring. In addition to a delicious meal, they provide amazing entertainment. All guests are welcomed.
January 23 at 6:30pm the Marsollier Family will perform an instrumental concert in our Worship Center. Free.
February 13 in the Fellowship Hall, at 5:30 pm, with a cost of $10.00 per person. The entertainment will follow at about 6:30 PM featuring Dale Mathis on accordion, and Duane Tendick on Tuba. They lean toward polka music, but play a variety of music, all quite energetic.
March 6 with dinner at 5:30pm and the program at 6:30pm will be
T.A. Burrows, a singer impressionist that emulates singers from the 50's and 60"s, will perform. His program this year will be “Legends of Song,” which will be totally different than presented last year in his Top of the Charts program.
March 27 with dinner at 5:30pm and program with a group of singers called Jukebox Junkies. They are headed up by Marv Myhre, who was the lead singer in the group, Goldridge Gang that we had here twice. This consists of 3 men and 2 women, who sing and play instruments, and their ability to harmonize even without the benefit of sheet music, is remarkable - you don't want to miss this performance. They have varied repertoire, from oldies, country western, etc.

Suppers for Six
This is a great way to get better acquainted with our church family. you will dine in a different participant’s home each month, January through April. The host/hostess provides the main dish and beverage; guests bring vegetables, salad, rolls and dessert. Everyone is welcome, singles and couples. Substitutes are also needed. Social Committee: The Desert Garden Social Committee hosts several events during the year, most of which involve food! They organize the much anticipated "End of Summer" potluck dinner for those who have survived another scorcher here in the Valley. At the end of October, they prepare the "Welcome Back" dinner for members who are returning from their summer homes. At Christmastime, the Social Committee provides coffee and sweets for the volunteers who help with the task of putting up and taking down decorations.
The Social Committee also assists in the annual celebration for the couples of our church who are celebrating their 50, 60 or 70 year anniversary. This is always a joyous celebration with a renewal of vows ceremony during the service, followed by cake, punch and coffee in the Fellowship Hall.

The Marsollier Family will perform in concert January 23 at 6:30 p.m. at Desert Garden United Church of Christ. Dennis and Claudia with their children Eric and Giselle will perform piano, organ, violin and cello solos and duets.
This will be the the eighth year. Our Men’s Fellowship is sponsoring this evening of musical entertainment open to the community. No tickets are required. A free will offering will be taken.
